Free Software upgrades when you work through the Phases!

When you buy any Software to suit any of our Phase packages we are able to upgrade the software free of charge when you progress to another stage.

This is under the condition that the hardware you are using to progress to the next Phase is supplied by us.

However if you purchase hardware elsewhere and need your Phase software upgrading to suit extra hardware there is a nominal charge of £250.

Phase 1 Astra VXR

OBD serial port programming power gains to 275bhp With 300 ft lbs torque. All maps come with power switch to alternate between 240bhp (standard) and the 275 bhp power map with the sports button engaged.

We offer three ways for you to get EDS Software on your VXR, OBD Flashing at the Regal shop, Bench Flashing via mail order, or home flashing via the EDS IPF tool. It couldn't be easier!

If you bring your car into the shop all software is programmed via the OBD socket, no need for ecu removal and minimum distruption! We can flash a phase 1 at ANY TIME during normal working hours and no need for booking!

However if this is not an option for you we can also offer a bench flashing service whereby you send us your ECU and we flash the ECU with your new EDS software. Turnaround is usually only 3 days!

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you fit Denso Performance spark plugs and a K&N panel filter to further enhance your Phase 1 kit and take it to the Phase 1 + level to really get the best from your new software!

Phase 2 Astra VXR

The next step up Phase 1 is to improve the engine breathing with an increase in intake and exhaust flow with our Mongoose cat back exhaust system and precat removal pipe and dbilas flowmaster intake.

The full turbo back mongoose exhaust system ends neatly in an OE style tri-oval tailpipe that exits in the stock bumper cut out.

To remove intake restriction we include the dbilas flowmaster kit, a highflow airbox containing a vertically mounted panel filter to ensure the flow of air into the turbo is as direct as possible.

The flowmaster units are supplied in BLACK powdercoat and at this stage come without a flowpipe. A Flowpipe can be fitted at phase 3 where more space under the slam panel becomes available with the fitment of the intercooler.

These upgrades with our Phase 2 software will see power increase to 285 bhp and torque will increase to 295ftlbs!

Please note: When full kit is purchased and fitted in house at our workshop, the software is a complementary upgrade for customers already equipped with Phase 1 software.

This is the price displayed below - In house fitting for the flowmaster is an additional £60 inc vat and fitting for the exhaust is an additional £100 inc vat bringing the complete Phase 2 upgrade from Phase 1, fully fitted to £1024.00 inc vat, drive in drive out.

NOTE: If you have NOT already purchased Phase 1 and would like to go straight to Phase 2 spec from stock you will not be eligable for the free software upgrade and there will be a charge of £480 for the Phase 2 software.

Furthermore, if you have purchased hardware (precat removal, exhaust system and intake) to run Phase 2 software elsewhere and want to have your Phase 1 software upgraded to Phase 2 spec, the cost is £250

There are several refinements you can make at this stage, such as a set of stronger con rod bolts (at £75 inc vat + £120 fitting) and an uprated fuel pump (at £150 inc vat + £60 fitting).

The fuel pump ensures a more consistent fuel supply to the injectors and the con rod bolts add a further safety margin. We recommend this 'Phase 2 +' package to those wanting to drive thier cars hard and want the very best performance from thier Phase 2 equipped car.

Phase 3 Astra VXR

Moving on from Phase 2, Phase 3 is the addition of a Regal inlet camshaft and Regal/Blizzard front mount intercooler kit.

The cam gives far superior cylinder infilling at high revs while the larger cooling capacity of the larger intercooler improves safety margin and allows for more power.

The intercooler kit is designed to retain as much of the OE equipment possible while still producing the most efficient intake cooling system available on the market. You will not have to swap your fans for smaller items to squeeze our kit in. It is designed to fully integrate into the VXR.

The Regal/Blizzard intercoolers only use smooth, rounded end tanks with opposing intake and outlet pipe positions to ensure 100% of the core is used to cool the charge air... after all what use is a large intercooler if it is not being used efficiently and is only producing a restriction of flow rate greater then that of its cooling benefit?

Furthermore rather then placing the intercooler in the standard position where it is suffocated by the tiny 2mm spaced fins of the air conditioning radiator, we have chosen to complete the job by reorganising the order of the cooling elements in the front of the VXR.

We begin by removing the standard intercooler along with the associated pipes which will be discarded. We then relocate the a/c radiator in the position of the old intercooler using 4 brackets included, sitting it in front of the water rad, no bending or altering of the standard pipe work is necessary.

We now place the highly efficient approx 8litre Blizzard intercooler in front of the a/c rad, at the very front of the car. The spacing on the fins of the intercooler is large enough not to restrict airflow to the a/c or water radiators. In its new position, right at the front of the car, it can gain maximum airflow to reduce charge temp even more by using the ram effect of the front bumper mouth.

An Astra VXR running at Regal's Phase 3 level should develop 300Bhp and 320ftlbs of torque, resulting in a car that is not only much faster but retains fantastic drivability.

The Regal Autosport/Blizzard intercooler kit is the only intercooler kit that offers a bar and plate core type... the most efficient core type available.

If you do not wish to buy the parts as the stage three package the Intercooler and Inlet car are available as separate items.

Please note: When full kit is purchased and fitted in house at our workshop, the software is a complementary upgrade from Phase 2. If you wish to jump straight to Phase 3 from a stock car then please budget for both Phase 1 and 2 above.

The price below is for those customers who already have Phase 2 and are upgrading to Phase 3.

We recommend this 'Phase 3 +' package to those wanting to drive thier cars hard and want the very best performance from thier Phase 3 equipped car.

Phase 3.5 Astra VXR

Phase 3.5 is the ultimate refinement in engine spec using the stock turbocharger. Phase 3.5 makes maximum use of the improved cylinder infilling from Phase 3 and adds an equal length cast turbo Manifold to aid the spooling of the stock VXR KO4 turbo and an enhanced Dbilas Flowtec inlet manifold.

The Dbilas turbocharger manifold has more equal length runners than the stock item, a larger collector throat and the compressor housing is also enlarged over stock.

The Dbilas Flowtec Inlet manifold has a much smoother flowpath and increases flow velocity into the combustion chamber over the stock item.

The fitting of the two manifolds greatly increases flow into and from the engine and maximises the use of the available boost. Because the KO4 cannot safely produce more boost without overspeeding this is the ONLY way to increase performance.

The greatest gain with this stage is in midrange power. We have seen upto an additional 25ft/lb and 20bhp in the midrange!!!

Peak performance is also increased and you can see upto 305-310bhp as boost is maintained higher up in the rev range.

Out on the road, in gear performance is transformed!

It is good practice, and we regard it as essential to refresh the full set of exhaust manifold gaskets, studs, nuts and clamps when fitting the Dbilas exhaust manifold. Phase 4 Astra VXR

Phase 4 is the ultimate in VXR Performance available anywhere.

At this level we add a unique GT28RS Turbocharger kit, complete with all fittings, intake pipe, breather relocation kit, downpipe and hand built state of the art tubular manifold...everything to integrate the GT28 Turbo into the VXR engine bay.

This is the ONLY true "bolt on" big turbo conversion.

Regal Autosport have converted countless VXR's to this specification ranging from high power 400+ bhp cars to 360bhp high torque track conversions. Each shop build is tailored to your individual needs however we can also supply the turbocharger kit for you to build your own ultimate VXR.

Engine Internal specifications are entierly dependant on your intended use. These modifications are additional to the turbocharger kit price.
